While moral values are important and good for the society some of these are too overrated. These values help in bringing out the best in us. Its purpose is to connect two water sources and provide nourishment to villages so that crops can grow.

Our children will need both in preparing themselves to be good parents and citizens in society. Most of the things they learn in life is by observing their teachers, parents and elder siblings. Those days are gone when we all are keen to help our neighbours at their struggling moment, to victims of any difficulty and needy persons of our society.

While it is possible for some to study just before the exam and perform well academically, it is not possible to understand a subject in its entirety without disciplined study through out the entire academic year. Discipline means abiding by, or adhering to, certain rules or norms of social life.

Self-discipline is highly required by everyone to have, as in modern time no one has time for others to motivate towards being in discipline. People who are disciplined can continue to work in the face of adversity, and they learn to push through difficult times and situations to accomplish their goals. Using an analogy to explain this, we can say that a school is like a canal that a farmer builds for irrigating his fields.

The added benefit for disciplined individuals of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is that they become more motivated and inspired to do their best, which translates directly to success in the professional world and other aspects of their life.

Parents need to develop self-discipline habits as they need to teach their kids a good discipline. This is because most mothers and fathers in their busy work days spend only a few hours with their children. No one can achieve anything big in the life without discipline.

Moral values include good habits such as honesty, helpfulness, integrity, respectfulness, love, hard work and compassion. It needs a control over the mind and body. Indiscipline causes lots of confusion in the life and makes a human being irresponsible and lazy. There is a purpose behind building a canal.
